プロデュースはケン・スコット。ヤン・ハマーは曲によって参加している程度。プレイのみならず、曲作りにおいてもサイモンとトニーが大いなる力を発揮している。
Produced by Ken Scott. Jan Hammer was on some numbers, but main players were Simon and Tony. They did a nice work also on compositions.

チャリティ・コンサート。エリック・クラプトンとは公式には初めて一緒に演奏。ジェフの当時のバンドにエリックが客演するスタイルだった。このころのエリックは、ギターの音を歪ませていなかったので、サイモン・フィリップスの重いドラミングとあまりフィットしていない。

当初イギリスで行われ、のちにアメリカでも数回開かれたチャリティ・コンサート。このバンドでジェフ自身のセットの演奏を行う。ただし、曲によってアンディ・フェアウエザー・ロウ、スティーブ・ウインウッドらが加わる。コンサート最後にはエリック・クラプトンやジミー・ペイジを含んだ出演者全員で数曲を演奏する。最後の数曲ではロニー・レインがステージに現れて歌った。アメリカでプレイしたときにはミュージシャンが数人増えている。なお、このコンサート以降、ジェフは数々のミュージシャンのアルバムに参加する。特に、スティービー・レイ・ボーンとは、録音はなかったものの、非常に親しくしていた。
Charity concert. London in September, and toured America later. Jeff played his own set and the performance with All-stars. Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Steve Winwood and many others were there.After this concert, he began to play on many musicians' albums. Not recorded, but often played on the stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan.

1984年初頭に発売が計画されたアルバムのアウトテイクが存在する。すでにナイル・ロジャースとプレイしており、『Flash』のアウトテイクと呼んでもよいくらい。ナイル作曲による「You Know I Like To Jam A Lot」、「Jeff's Anthem」、といったインストゥルメンタル数曲がブートレグでも聞ける。ニューヨーク、パワー・ステーションで録音されている。
Outtakes from unreleased album, planned to release in early 1984. Already Nile Rodgers plays with Jeff. So these could be called "Flash" outtakes. Nile Rodgers composing "You Know I Like To Jam A Lot", "Jeff's Anthem", and other instrumentals were heard on bootlegs. Recorded at Power Station, New York.

大勢のミュージシャンが参加しているが、クレジットは不明。プロデューサーも複数起用しているが、その担当者によってメンバーががらりと入れ替わっているようだ。ゆえに、ロッド・スチュワートをはじめとして、一曲にしか参加していないプレイヤーも数多い。ナイル・ロジャースはほぼ同時にマドンナの仕事があったため、数曲をプロデュースし、アーサー・ベイカーにあとを託した。その二人とは別進行でレコーディングした曲が数曲あった、というのがことの成り行き。
So many musician played, but not credited in detail. Nile Rogers had some jobs with other musicians at the same time, so after he had gone, Arthur Baker came to produce.

ジミー・ホールは元ウェット・ウィリー。サックスもこなす。しかし、ジェフのステージの性質上、インストゥルメンタル曲をプレイ中は、ステージから姿を消していた。また、このツアーの初日はジョイント・コンサートで、スティーブ・ルカサーや、カルロス・サンタナのバンドと共演した。
Jeff played with Carlos Santana and Steve Lukather at the first show of this tour in Japan. Jimmy Hall, ex. Wet Willy, played saxophone too. But when the band played instrumental number, he hid into backstage.

ベーシストはいない。ジェフは、ミック・ジャガーのビデオ撮影時にテリーに会い、以後『Twins』のサウンドトラックでも共演し、『Guitar Shop』もともにレコーディングした。テリーはフランク・ザッパ、ミッシング・パーソンズでのキャリアを持つ。プロデュースはジェフたち三人とライフ・メイズ。
Without bass player. Jeff first met Terry at the video shooting with Mick Jagger. Since then, played together on "Twins" soundtrack, and "Guitar Shop". Terry was formally with Frank Zappa and Missing Persons.
